Diamond EducationReal diamonds — the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical properties as mined diamonds — grown in a controlled environment rather than extracted from the earth.
Chemically and physically the same material. The difference is origin. Lab-grown diamonds are typically more accessible in price for a given size and quality.
Carat total weight — the combined weight of both earrings. A 2.00 CTW pair is two diamonds of about 1.00 carat each.
Elongated shapes like oval and pear can appear larger face-up than a round of the same weight. Round offers the most classic sparkle; emerald cut a calmer, mirror-like glow.
Solid 14K gold is 58.3% pure gold alloyed for strength — durable enough for daily wear, and it won't wear through the way plating can.
